What a Friend You Had In Me

What a friend you had in me, you would not let me be. Both day and night, you shined very bright. Until the day I saw the light, then you were not my knight. Day by day I live with joy, I am no longer your little toy. Date written: 12/27/2020 Note: This comes from trying to help friends.

We try to rescue people, it is difficult to realize they have to rescue themselves. I have had to wipe the sand off my sandals more than once. Good so I’d write.

It's a rotten feeling when friends take advantage of you. You said it right--stay strong, Paula.
