Wells of Wishes
Of course,
distance is different
for each of us – close
can be miles apart…
as with Time, to some
often measured entirely
by a heart’s fondness~
seeming a joyless
eternity when separated:
had I my way
I would light the darkness
between all stars
fulfilling all those unanswered
gaps, deep wells of wishes yet
to be heard
and dutifully dispatched
realizing,
that for heaven
time and distance may have
far less relevance
the places man hides and seeks
hates and loves and faithfully
dreams….
