Welcoming Spring

A breath of air bodes of sweet spring And urges winter on his way. A red breast robin on the wing Is looking for a place stay, To build a nest without delay. The signs of spring are all around Answering to Nature’s set alarms. Snowbells are pushing from the ground, While bees steal from a blossom’s charms In daffodil fields on vast bulb farms. In spring the world is young again With new life sprouting everywhere. Forgotten is the cold and pain. As winter leaves without fanfare, We rush to meet spring in mid-air.
