Weariness
What if
The stars suddenly shuddered
And you, God
Decided to play?
What if
You chose to disguise Yourself
And come to Earth
As anything You would want to?
What if
You would come
For me,
To show me the way
Leading to Your abode?
Of course,
I would keep it a secret
I would disclose it not
To the rest of the world
As
Everyone has despair loaded
On their consciousness
And everyone
Lives
Merely because they have been told
They have to!
Why
I am tired
The burden of having to carry my own cross
Is getting too heavy
My arms hurt
The tears trickling down my face
Crease my skin
And my feet are simply trying
To pretend
That they still want to walk on!
Would You come
As the full moon displays itself
Bold and majestic?
Or when the summer breeze
Is soothing enough
As to tingle my lips into a smile?
Or would you come
When the night paints its own enchantment
For itself to enjoy,
Then when the night creatures sing and dance
Then when grass morph into fairies
Then when stars shed off their blinding mask
Then when
I,
Will be mindless of what I leave behind
Seeking solely to follow you
Blindly
And even more submissively
Than lovers do with their beloved!
My sentence must be really gruesome
That You never allow me to play with You
Leaving me,
Stranded,
In a life which I feel not is mine!
Why,
I remain the words that You have whispered
Eons ago!
At least,
I try to be so
As much as I can!
I remain the principles that You have set
Ages before
When the world was supposed to be a better place!
I remain the humanity that You have made me with
Even if I make it a must not to be trampled on!
Yet,
Living feels like being lost at sea
With water all around and
Not being able to drink one single drop!
Come,
Please do,
I yearn for a glimpse of You
I yearn to read a poem to You
I yearn to play games with You
Why,
I yearn to hold Your hand
And to see of that
Which You have promised in those books of holiness!
