Wear a Poppy
I'll wear a red paper poppy
For the boys and girls I knew,
Who went to war, not to return.
It's little enough to do.
I'll wear one for all the others
Who came home but weren't the same.
I'll wear one for each brave hero,
Though I may never know his name.
If you see the veteran's selling
Bright red poppies, show your pride.
Take one and wear it proudly
For those who lived, for those who died.
