“Death is the gateway to eternity”...by poet. Several times in my life death has held my hand and led me into the land of the dead. We live, we die, it's nature's way. Yet, I felt abandoned in that forest of stone where dead memories go to be buried. As I laid flowers on a plot of ground a profound sadness soon saturated my soul. Why visit a cemetery, if all that's there is dust and bones? We seek closure, yet expect more. (Fragmented Verse) 02/03/2023 Writing Challenge - C Words Sponsored by: Constance La France

I love this Emile. You've done a splendid job with topic and form. I find that visits to the cemetery are quite morbid - just my perspective. Thank you for this. Congratulations on your win! :)
