What a wonderful tribute to the fallen Marshall Football team. My friend Tommy Howard lost his life on this flight. I was with his sister when we received the news of the plane crashing. Great poem but it brings back a lot of painful memories.

That was an incredibly sad moment in time indeed James, I am originally from West Virginia. They have a place in their school remembering these talented athletes. I loved the movie too. Good luck in the contest!

Now I have tears in my eyes. Thank you for dedicating this wonderful poem to my father. He and I watched the movie; we both knew how the team's plane had gone down. But it was really an uplifting movie to see how they rebuilt the team with a little help from my idol Bobby Bowden. God bless you for paying tribute to this amazing spirit that shows you how hope survives even when all seems lost. Absolutely brilliant write, James! Love, Carolyn
