In the heart, there beats
Hope – second chances, new
Dreams, wishes, aspirations
Promises that reveal the ways
Inspiration guides and fulfills
In the heart, there beats
Faith – belief in prayers, praise
Devotion that colors in grace
Convictions that reveal the ways
Loyalty claims, trust conveys
In the heart, there beats
Love – affection so very sweet
Adoration in waves, like the seas
Flowing passion, feelings revealing
Tenderness that brings relief
In the heart, there beats
The beauty that comes from knowing
The One who brings the light
Into the spirit, the fire, burning
Away every doubt or fear…
With wonder that reminds hearts
To listen to the whisper of His breath
Silencing everything that is bad,
Restoring everything that is good…
Assuring hearts they are truly loved!
