We Are All Broken People

We are all broken people You may be pimple faced, but, that ain't no disgrace... We all passed through that, when we were young Then there's the awkward phase, You look away from the strangers gaze, Don't worry 'bout it, life's just begun You see the cooler kids, You really don't fit in... Try not to let your frustration show You don't know what to do, When other people look at you... Don't worry there's still time to grow Chorus We are all broken people... trying our best to fit in... We are all broken people... The time will come when we will win, Yes we'll win...yes we'll win The time will come when we will win Sometimes we lose the fight... Standing up for what is right... but we'll be stronger in the end We might feel like a stranger... 'round every corner there is danger... but, by our side we'll have a friend Sometimes it's just too much... searching, but not finding love... too many fish swim in the sea You probably feel odd... but all of us are flawed... You'll find your mate, just wait and see! Chorus We are all broken people... trying our best to fit in... We are all broken people... We are all different, unique. Such an amazing quality to have. (I think so anyway) Being true to who we are. Sometimes we feel like a missing piece of the puzzle. We don't fit in. We must recognize our worth. Your thoughts always move me. ~ Brandy

Thanks Brandy, what you say is true, being different than others makes us special, sadly growing up many are not taught that by their parents...now this new generation has gone to the other extreme parents teach their children they are special, yet they still are bullied and don't feel accepted. i wondered if his poem inspired this...we all have broken pieces at times that need mending, and like anything that's broken, if you line the pieces together just right, they will fit together...so some day we will fit in, this one touched me, probably because i feel so broken at the moment... great write John...i love it... hugs
