Back in the day We were dirt poor Things were rough Cocky and brazen We had no fear Always up When school was out For an escapade or two Fishing at the harbor front Collecting pop bottles for cash Hitchhiking rides to get around Meeting friends at swimming holes Published in my 24-page photo/anthology ~RANDOM MUSINGS VOL.2~ 2020 AP: 2nd place 2022 Submitted on March 16, 2020 fro contest STRAND CHOICE H sponsored by BRIAN STRAND Originally posted on September 21, 2019

"Hitchhiking" and "swimming holes" - such wholesome times, when there was no fear, and we would jump in anybody's car without fear.

Thing is Line, we were happy with not a care in the world. Where did we go wrong ? Tom. Took me back , took many bottles back to the shop to collect the deposits, should have carried on, I'd have been a millionaire lol
