Waves of life bring us up and down We think we can reach up to the sky Then see cloud formations of frowns Suddenly tears fall with the rain Or sometimes we can’t feel at all Storms burst with worrying pain As we try to fly and not fall Other times may be smooth as glass Not a crack to be seen, so clear So we ride the waves like the sea Trying to find balance not fear The tides pull us in many ways So we must hold onto some faith To cherish peace in the calm days Heidi Sands 1/27/18

This must be the sea of your life, Heidi! Finding the right balance depends mostly on how we look at life, although others have a say in it, too. The sea can be a faithful servant or a cruel master! Best regards // paul

You have a magic way in telling a story like this. You have a good sense of rhythm and can put feelings into your word choices. The poem is structured smoothly and flows well. You use good imagery and maintain a poetic flow throughout the whole piece. Well done my friend, Emile.
