Watching Birds In the Garden

when the weather warms up 
     my backyard garden comes alive with song birds
 oh, so many singing ... like robins, chickadees, sparrows,
       warblers, finches, wrens, starlings, cardinals,
   blue jay and there are even doves
                  I think there is a mockingbird not far away
           it is like a divine symphony just for me
                         and I love watching the action
                I have set up some feeding places
                        that hang from tree branches
         put some bird houses here and there for nesting
                   and I provide them with a bird bath
                        there are many leafy trees for shade
I love when the babies are born, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp
                               though, I have a cat
                 she is strictly indoor but loves the show
                      from a window
  there is nothing more delightful, calming and tranquil ...
             birds are truly a gift from God
