Warnings

          The doctor gave me a prescription for medicine,
and all the container said was, take two pills at bedtime;
                   I decided to look up the side effects and warnings,
holy smokes, the list was a mile long . . . causes dizziness.

            Oh that's great, I am dizzy already, confusion, headache,
muscle weakness, WEIGHT GAIN (darn it ), slow heart beat;
                  chance of heart attack, seizures, liver/kidney damage,
patients may have higher likelihood of cancer resulting in death.

       If breathing stops . . . call 911??? No way I will be taking
these  PILLS,  those   w a r n i n g s  are too scary for this girly girl.

Enjoyed your write, Constance, made me smile- yes, the side-effects list can be terrifying. Thanks for having a go in my contest, Viv x

This is funny to read, but there is also a serious side to it. Those side effects do exist and I've been the victim of some of them! But medicine is a necessary evil, and it can get us out of a many a tight corner:) Regards // paul

Probably not any worse than the pesticides used on your fruits/vegetables and the chemicals in the fertilizers, or the chemicals they put in livestock feed. But yes, Constance, it is funny the side effects of meds. I love the the phrase "girly girl" very cute:)

It is funny and not funny when one looks at the side effects because mostly the side effects are worse than the problem that already exists..The doctor will tell you that the likelihood of those happening are only a very small percentage but what if you are in the percentage that it happens to..I was put on medicine for my blood pressure years ago and it made my capillaries swell when exposed to sunlight..I showed it to the pharmacist..He said I had read about that but have never seen it..LOL SK

My husband's sister has bladder cancer that is probably caused by a medicine that she took for her diabetes..Enjoyed reading your work..I hope that your health improves that is if this is a real problem for you..Sara

Haha, If you feel you are OK without them then no, take them not. That's funny, we have 000 to ring.
