Warm Feelings of a Spring Rain

Warm feelings of a Spring rain on my face Turning upwards toward the heavens, In appreciation of God’s endearing mercies Thank you, Lord! Reaching down to every person with love -- Spring rain, flowing over me like His grace, Reminding me of the fresh feel of freedom. Thank you, Lord! Warm feelings of a Spring rain on my face Running down my cheeks like the tears Which flowed when I first knew I was saved Thank you, Lord! Spring rain, nourishing the seeds we plant, Causing the blooms to lift their heads Skyward, to receive the gift of the Almighty. Thank you, Lord!

I like the "thank you Lord" parts in repetition the best!

Thank you, Caren. I write very few "religious" poems, but this one came rather naturally. Actually, I was writing it in tercets, but the refrain "Thank You, Lord" just seemed to really fit.
