War Graves

No medals, no uniform, no record of dedicated service. He was never a soldier, a Doctor, or nurse, cop or firefighter. Nevertheless he fought to the end, it was a bitter and bloody end. At the graveside it is said that a tinker, a tailor, and a candlestick maker rode their wild white horses above the assembled bowed heads. A sun-splattered rain fell upon the few who knew him, but all there knew him well enough to salute his invisible flag.
