Walking Friendship
Your friends might go to walk with you
to go where you may go.
But friends who're there to talk with you
make friends you'd care to know.
A walk in time to talk and listen
with patience kept in mind.
That memories shared bring laughs out loud
and comfort there to find.
A conversation rich in knowledge
where secrets shared bring trust.
And bonding for a friend to be
bring feelings that are just.
Where memories form the bridge you walk
and time's seen getting short.
That walking touches all our hearts
and means more now than sport.
