Waiting For the Storm
overnight the summer heat left for dull
the sun is hidden in the sky today
all is quiet even that loud, loud gull
heard a thunderstorm will come in the gray_
outside there is silence and a deep lull
a strong wind is making the green trees sway_
I listen for the first boom of thunder
a flash- and I am transfixed with wonder_
