Waitimg Here Inthe Metroplis
At 42nd street on can feel the pulse of the city
Throngs of people crowd the streets
Blazing electric lights on restaurants and theatres
beckon to the masses
Laughing eyes may be a cover up for sorrow
Waiting here in the metropolis
I hear the cars rushing down the highway
Oceans full of city dwellers are waiting along with me
Each new dawn brings hope to the asphalt homeland
Each evening brings excitement
City dwellers can put on a good face when they have to
Joy comes in mysterious ways
Here in "Baghdad on the Hudson"
