Voiceless Echoes
Voiceless Echoes
Little voices underneath the slumberous sailing sun
Little choices for their world that has become undone
Who rejoices when their lives are shortly silently shun
Who sacrifices for their cries that have barely begun
Little hearts fluttering in the rain, raincoats of weathered pain
Little mouths that speak in vain, echoes that have built the chain
Little eyes that stare and strain, sorrows that sink the salty drain
Little minds that do detain, selfless smiles in their world remain
Voiceless echoes that reach the symphonic seraphic skies
Minstrels in meadows, children rejoicing before their demise
Breathless bellows, the machines stop and then we realize
Our precious sparrows have flown the earth as we eulogize.
