It is the holidays,
and company is inevitable.
They will show up unexpected.
How can that be?
You already know they are coming.
So sit right down and make a list.
Start from the top.
Food, family and friends.
That is all that is needed,
to make everyday,
the best day.
Fresh fruit in the bowl,
festive towels near the sink.
It really is not hard, if you think.
Not a task or a chore,
but a life, and a green door. (the party starts there every time)
A place in the garden,
A place at the table,
A place for you and all who come!
Share what we have,
Spare only what we need.
Smiles, hugs and laughter,
like…
bread and fish,
in the very hands of...
God.
Amen.
