Vanishing point
The sticky glue of longing,
gives a sense of belonging,
betwixt heartbeat’s silent chime,
though life is devoured by time.
Soul’s adrift as goalposts shift
and decay of form is swift,
yet we clutch at wisps of straw,
until heart begins to thaw.
When thoughts recede and love leads,
rapture rises and bliss breeds,
thinning out wayward ego,
as dark desires we forgo.
Our ego’s vanishing point,
is when we opt to anoint
the void as soul’s dwelling place,
invoking God’s boundless grace.
