Vanishing Point

what lies beyond the invisible not everyone cares for that direction the vanishing point where some of us linger I can't tell you I can only tell you of yearning that something inside me feels it'll be fixed there from the brokeness of here how that ache compels me yet the impossibility of beyond an horizon is just wasted time perhaps those of us inclined wish for that concentrated point focussed in, making sense the essence of our being realistically we've diminished by then all outside of thought inside our heads at the vanishing point being more being less a state that could reveal the truth we're clouded over crowded paint me out of the picture give me perspective 'vanishing' really seems the moment it all happens

A very thought-provoking write, DD. They say that our memories are all concentrated/condensed just before we die. Do we take those with us like in a zip file, or do we unleash them into the void/vanishing point? Mmmmmm

Heya Dilly did you know the universe has a vanishing point (the cosmic horizon) it’s in every direction, maybe your mind is touching upon its precipice, or maybe I’m seeing beyond the scope of this thought provoking piece, either way you’ve written a powerful poem on perspective, cheers David

I mean after my debut as a scientific commentator yesterday you may assume that my scientific knowledge matches your own but I'm afraid I have to confess I didn't know (it's an interesting concept as to whether that is about sight, perception, perspective or about another notion that goes beyond that and is really the concept of the edge of everything though! Exciting!) You do give me quite a lot of credit but you're right that my ponderings are about the edge of existence and a presumption that there is a gift of knowledge beyond it that creates some kind of peace and serenity. It's not necessarily what I think consciously but my subconscious seems to be hellbent (heavenbent) on thinking about it :)

Ah this, is so well expressed and written in such an introspective manner. As i look at artwork that depicts vanishing point i think of this too. And many more. And youv delivered it all in such a creative manner! Crowded clouded, thoughts, and brokenness.. i love especially the line“ paint me out of the picture give me perspective ” wow! What a line and your alliterations there is just seamless! It sounds natural and a line worthy to be quoted! Soulfully meaningful poem

Thank you Jan - it's just such a compelling phrase when you hear it in isolation. I read it yesterday in relation to art and just felt magical even though I'm familiar with the expression x
