A lion unaware that his portrait is being taken,
by a photographer- before his great beauty is gone;
before . . . all wild animals are tragically forsaken,
to capture his tranquil spirit the photo was taken at dawn.
I weep, weep for the disappearance of such a creature,
and for his natural world and landscapes created by God;
just look into this lions face and let him be your teacher.
Beauty is vanishing! Don't be misled by the facade.
