Valentine Rendezvous
Through gossamer dark, to the moon I look
Piercing ink-splattered sky, a spot of bright
Reflecting your face in the pewter brook
Guided by the script of your hand I took
We journeyed far to rendezvous this night
Through gossamer dark, to the moon I look
Your letters of love completing this book
I follow our path by memory's sight
Reflecting your face in the pewter brook
In sharp chilling gusts, ivory leaves shook
Compelled to conquer this mountain's cold height
Through gossamer dark, to the moon I look
Of pristine crystal water I partook
Visions redeemed within silken starlight
Reflecting your face in the pewter brook
Bruised steps lifted me to your hidden nook
My valentine, you made the labor light
Through gossamer dark, to the moon I look
Reflecting your face in the pewter brook.
