He sifted through childhood memories,
Finding only pallid colored thoughts,
Bleached by time;
The specter of dreamscapes had changed
The magical childhood star wishing,
Into an adult stench of resentment;
He now determines that wishing upon a star,
Was synonymous to “whipping a dead horse;”
