Unreality Check
He’s a nightmare killer
Who’s killed many times
After reality fades
he commits many crimes
He loves that feeling of power
over the people he kills
and the colour of their blood
that he mercilessly spills
There’s no rhyme or reason
for who he attacks
The bodies just disappear
no need to cover his tracks
During his daylight hours
he’s mild mannered it seems
That other person he’s afraid of
the one that lives in his dreams
He’s anxious to fall asleep
because in slumber he won’t care
There will comfort in their pain
a pleasurable nightmare
In the morning when he rises
he fears he will be caught
But a man can’t be found guilty
for the things he has thought.
