Unkind Time

Corrosion did not happen All on a sudden in a day Obnoxious moisture Had started spreading Long back when words Words of deep breath Words from growing wound Words from dense buds Sought to stop and repel The knives and blows Rust has been building up On the necklace For quite sometime Still Total elimination of frill I didn't anticipate The estrangement under seal and signature was just unbelievable Yes The attempt to align had got jolted a little That didn't contort the tie of couple Even the other day I dreamt a creeper rising while embracing a tree holding the trunk tight Green leaves cuddled me What a surprise The counselor said It was a message from Subconscious When the advocate said to him Attach the salary statement To the document I was not only confused I felt a shiver down the spine Unkind time -------------------------------------------------- September 6, 2019 Ten word Challenge 1 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Kai Michael Neumann
