United Whatever It Takes

He waits on the other side of the wall, an endless barier, just to see her face, but she was nowhere to be found. She waits on the other side waiting for him. But over time, they both give up. The girl falls down to the ground, and sobs. The boy, about to leave, hears the sobs and gets a hammer. Year after year, he pounds on the wall with that stupid hammer, with hope that it’s her. She hears him and starts pounding on the wall too. But she didn’t have a hammer. She used her delicate little hands. They both swore whatever it took, they would be united again. The year they turned 16, the year they graduated early, the year they were finally united.
