Underneath a Moonlit Sky
The night reflects my dreams
Echoing soft tranquility
Freeing my heart to believe
In the wisdom of a mystery
Melancholy whispers sing
Whimsical verses of a lullaby
Creating soothing hopes
Within the heart’s deepest thoughts
Gentle moments calm worries
Dancing through the dread of tomorrow
Sighing with reveries of kindness
Tantalizing inspirations from heaven
Visions of blissful insights and beliefs
Send me into a carefree dance of joy
Moving my heart to trust the prayer
For compassion that blows a kiss to the wind
Truth twists into my heart’s core
Crying out a muse of sensitivity to wish
For glorious freedom to be and believe
With a sense of purity that brings peace
Inspirational prose glow on the surface
Of one who learns to live from the nocturnal
Petitions, litanies of desire to be moved
By the wisdom and strength in the heavens
Love lingers within the soul who knows
This starry night amid the moon’s shadow
Reveals all that is true, real purpose in life
Feelings of hope, faith and charity combined
To give the heart all the warmth of knowing
God’s intimate touch underneath a moonlit sky
