Uncaring Wind

The wind seemed not to care
How fondly grew our hearts
Of maple's scarlet hue
Upon the morn, not one,
No single leaf was left to
To bask in Autumn's brilliant view

It is sad to see the trees lose there beautiful fall dressings. Yes, it does seem the wind doesn't care as it strips the trees bare. Another wonderful piece, Carrie! Love, Robin

A whimsical view of the wind's unconcern of how fondly grew the hearts, by proof of leaving not a single leaf to bask in Autumns brilliance. Smile. A brilliant Poem, Carrie. More, More! Sincerely Moses

Carrie, Like you said, the wind does not care about how we feel when it blows Autumn leaves all around. But the reason it's clear why God put the wind here. It's to blanket wild life with the leaves. (Plants and animals.) I enjoyed this poem very much. I do love God so much and the way everything that He created entwines. Love to you... Dane Ann

Beautiful... I have maple trees around my apartment building and I know exactly what you mean about that darn wind.. I picked some up from the ground.. lovely big burgundy ones and pressed them in waxed paper with an iron... hopefully the wax will keep them all winter... and thanks for your comment on my footle poem
