Unbound
My soul is unbound
leaping like a lizard in the grass
moving swiftly toward the current
to be swept in the new born tide
and carried to a sweet land
if rebirth.
My soul is grateful
no longer gnashing teeth
upon the pits of passion’s agonizing side,
beaten down into a dismal daylight
every morning.
My soul is open
to the blessings of the Universe
open
ready and waiting
for a spiritual awareness
of myself and nature
open
to all possibilities
of God.
