Two and a Half Best Years

I wonder what you would think of all that has happened since you left Although in some ways, I’m glad you have not had to see it I only wanted what was best for you, as you brought me the 2 and ½ best years of my life For once I was not alone, with things that so many couldn’t understand I will be forever grateful for the time we had to share And hold onto that time from then, for it is nothing like now You always knew what to say and you worked so hard Your life being taken too early, will always remain a shadow But I know where you are, the light shines better than any shadow to be seen Heidi Sands 9/18/20
