you never have to chop me open my mind/thoughts splay out readily some version of knowing me, gifted then on and off go gloves/mask til there's no truth or fight left nothing lines up/we're all shouting then calmness falls serenaded into confusion unnoticed hands snatch or plead I don't know which way to look so stick with dead ahead behind the scenes of inner thought I beg of you before I'm too fraught please don't distract with grand display whilst my life just ticks away my lips don't move maybe I didn't speak the backscatter of light remains unfocused awareness of unredeemable judgement we may escape in shadows as sound creates a portal or perhaps drowning creates a passageway without, we all linger

Absurdism is so weird Dilly, yet definitely goes on in the subconscious of all our minds, the images behind the lady conjure up thoughts trying to form but unsure which direction to take, I wonder what’s on that sheet of paper under her hand, your poem perhaps, why not, it would all make perfect sense, class act and poem, cheers David

Yep it wasn’t there the first time I looked either, this is really weird absurdism, so it can only be your poem conjured itself in from the quantum realm!

I do wonder if everyone has a subconscious that throws up weirdness - I think some people just have nice quiet brains :) I never noticed that piece of paper - perhaps it only appeared once I'd written the poem and you're right! Maybe I'll appear somewhere in it too haha - think I'd leap on a gondola and get out of there if I did! Thanks for the lovely comment
