Turning the Page
Sometimes life takes your
consciousness and
sends it spinning like
planets through a galaxy;
the brain initiates
images that play
upon a dream stage;
masked dancers
on a reel.
At times like these
I awaken confused,
dazed by specters
from the farthest reaches
of my brain crevices.
Interpreting the daily grind
subconscious waters have
their own actors and scripts;
I will use them
to write my stories.
The essence of me
lay upon the page,
for all to see
and turn a page
to another act.
