This is why we do not have turkey; we had roast beef and had to run back to the store for another one the next day. But you have definitely described all of our Thanksgivings prior to this one. Our 48th Thanksgiving together and I finally figured it out. BEEF. Not Turkey!

Sounds good, Caren! My son actually made coq-au-vin using turkey. Then with brussel sprouts and green beans. Not traditional at all :)

How lucky you Americans are having two turkey dinners lol. We have to wait till Christmas, and then it's left over turkey for breakfast,dinner and tea. My wife always makes a turkey curry for the new year. Enjoyed your haiku. Tom.
