Trusting His Parents

He told his folks his plans Knowing they would always love him Trusting them But they threw him out Turned on him He had to live with strangers They had their rules, their regs Their fundamental religion That no longer encouraged them to love their only child He never recovered And they never opened their hearts Preferring dogma over their son’s feelings and their own.

The trans and gay children are often thrown out of their homes by their parents when they are in high school. The percent that live in other people's homes on their couches is horrible and sad.
