We went to Aunty Sue’s for tea my cousin wants to play with me So I have to play with Cousin Jean we wash doll clothes till they are clean then dress the doll and comb her hair but Cousin Jean is not aware I HATE DOLLS They look like trolls with rubber lips and a creepy smile I think Jean’s dolls are simply vile blue googly eyes, pink plastic thighs playing with dolls I just despise I much prefer teddies with fur but I concur I must play with her because Jean’s tiny, she’s only three and I am eight, but dolls I HATE! 10/24/21

Well said, Jan! My late wife always put "Best Dolly!" between the pillows when she made the bed. "Best Dolly" was an ancient black doll with a cracked head who appeared to have survived every day outdoors during London's bombing, which did not endear her to our daughter!

Really good one, Jan. I can't see an eight-year-old playing with a three-year-old, but I realize it's a forced activity sometimes. Dolls never interested me either. But, then.........

Hi Jan, this poem is fun and and this doll certainly looks like a troll - I had a teddies hospital when i was young and my friends used to bring their teddies to me to get better - my mom helped me to put bandages round their heads or legs and plasters on their arms, we had tiny little bottles which my mum kept so i could give them medicine to take home for teddy, either orange juice or whatever cool drinks we had in the house at that time, it was fun. hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Ha ha Jan: The old fashioned dolls were to train us for motherhood. Some of the Barbie dolls are more entertaining and teach we could be models or rock stars LOL Fun write which I enjoyed. SuZ

Ever since I saw the Twilight Zone episode with Telly Savalas and the doll, I hated dolls. Then, when Chucky came along I hated dolls even more (lol). Great one, Jan. Hugs//Charlie xx
