Duke Beaufort Poet Limerick

Tribute I

The rich man’s mouthpiece Scalia
Spread his will like gonorrhea!
In an overreach
He ruled money is free speech
And gave us all such diarrhea


Author's note:  The decision ($$=free speech) murders our democratic process.  He didn't champion free speech for whistleblowers or students.  Does this make him a champion of the constitution and a great American?

Folks outside of Beaufort South Carolina may not see your work as true limerick. You said it, the world is totally mad, praising everything. Scalia, was a former Supreme Court justice, I am wondering about your area of expertise Duke.... Duke Beaufort March 6, 2016 at 6:19 PM Well, you live in a more sane country. We are a little (shall we say) brash. We are about to find out that our pride is misplaced. Your poetry is medicine by the way. It is elegant. Something which is missing from much of our land. I just watched Michael Moore's latest film. There are places that appear to be better than here in many respects.

So, that is why I think we need to learn about sacrifice and to be willing to contribute something to the betterment of world society. This is obvious to some of us. I have always said that even for selfish reasons of wanting to keep the good life intact for ourselves, we have to be willing to share. However, a few people want it all.

Mr. Scalia was the preservationist. Not a conservative, but a tool of the privileged few. Very bizarre how this is done along with the claim that freedom for all should be paramount. It is something of a cruel joke fostered upon us by the very well to do.
