Tribute I

The rich man’s mouthpiece Scalia Spread his will like gonorrhea! In an overreach He ruled money is free speech And gave us all such diarrhea Author's note: The decision ($$=free speech) murders our democratic process. He didn't champion free speech for whistleblowers or students. Does this make him a champion of the constitution and a great American?

Hi duke, everything you do is limerick, and limerick suppose to be funny! I have read few of your poems, may be you should try another style. Folks outside of Beaufort South Carolina may not see your work as true limerick. You said it, the world is totally mad, praising everything. Scalia, was a former Supreme Court justice, I am wondering about your area of expertise Duke....

You’re absolutely right; your expertise is completely foreign to me. You’re trying to show inconsistencies based on CNN or Fox news that are feeding you. Mr. Duke, when you write something that is not limerick please let me know; I love to read it, because I believe you are very talented and leave the jokes to the comedians.

It's amazing to me how much praise someone totally out of touch with the forces of nature can receive. The world is sometimes totally mad (but not always). You have a great week please!!!

Well, you live in a more sane country. We are a little (shall we say) brash. We are about to find out that our pride is misplaced. Your poetry is medicine by the way. It is elegant. Something which is missing from much of our land. I just watched Michael Moore's latest film. There are places that appear to be better than here in many respects.

Duke, we Canadians are watching the election closely, we cannot believe that such a horrible man even got as far as he has, and pray he will not succeed, that would be awful, immigration reports 20,000 USA people have applied to come to Canada and that number is growing, I am loving this limerick 7 ~

Duke, it's a terrible fact that money rules. It is unbelievable to me that the poor would want to vote the filthy rich into office at all. Boggles my mind!!

Yes, it's freedom for all until it costs us something personally! People's minds tend to be more open when they see a benefit for themselves. A truly sad but prevelant reality.

You are exactly on target. So, that is why I think we need to learn about sacrifice and to be willing to contribute something to the betterment of world society. This is obvious to some of us. I have always said that even for selfish reasons of wanting to keep the good life intact for ourselves, we have to be willing to share. However, a few people want it all.

I just read your poem entitled shattering rose glasses. Mr. Scalia was the preservationist. Not a conservative, but a tool of the privileged few. Very bizarre how this is done along with the claim that freedom for all should be paramount. It is something of a cruel joke fostered upon us by the very well to do.
