Surrounded by painted pale blue heaven, as I stand
on grass all fresh and verdant green, the sun rays warms me.
Toying breeze fans and lifts my leaves and fall beneath my shade
as I reflect back on the past with changing of the
seasons as I grow.
Birds, squirrels, and other small creatures have come and gone.
Children with joyous laughter climbed my limbs and have broken
a few. Couples walked side by side holding
hands and would sit on a blanket beneath my shade.
Deeply rooted, waiting for another hundred years.
