Tree
Tree
What is this tree you plant
It is called the tree of hope
Tree of hope you say
tell me more this day
the tree is a symbol to all
gone through suicide and
those alive with mental health
we plant a tree in parks and centres
church and anywhere there wanted
on the day we plant a tree we sing
in memory we drive a yellow stake
with the router the words are carved out
yellow ribbons wrap around holding tree steadily
people cry at this simple event twenty minutes
is all it takes then when all are gone the tree
begins to sing its own song letting people walking by
know I am growing my branches spreading out
stigma dose not grow here we have planted hundreds
of trees and we will plant hundreds more a forest of
trees to help and ease
