Tom Cunningham Tribute— Repost This acrostic is published in Poetry Soup’s very first Anthology! Many of you do know Tom… but have not read the tribute .You readers of Tom are familar with his smiling, welcoming face,and warm heart! Here is Tom, on Saint Patrick’s Day, in a parade carrying the flag, he is so proud of!! The equally handsome gentleman to the left, is Tom’s brother, bearing the under end of the flag! T_tendernesss and tolerance are his territory. O_openness to all poets, too! M_magnanimity and modesty, shine in this friend of mine! C_compasstion and consideration, so outstanding. U_understanding of the human soul he sees. N_nice to all, marks his poetic gentility. N_nobility glows in his poetry. I_intelligence sparkles in all his works. N_naturalness, nothing forced. G_goodwill and graciousness he shows to all H_humor and honesty,exceptional qualities. A_amiability in comments to all M_magnanimity he has, a virtue, esteemed. 3/24/2024

Wonderful tribute, Pangie. By the way. I posted Sinba's picture for the neighborhood and called the shelter. That very day he appeared in our house last night. I suppose he waited for the dog to follow her back into the house and he was not even wet or acting famished. Very weird!! I am so glad he did not die.

Thank you for your comments and distributing posters,to o. I applaud you !,,, I am very proud of you and your work to find Simba. I would have I would’ve come over to you so myself and look for him.. as if I could ha ha I can’t! I had a mainC__n cat once, she ran away and we found her on top of a roof two stories high. She came down, we took her home and whata beautiful cat. She died of cancer. We tried to save her, but were cost thousands of They’re from to look online and read about it. You don’t let a baby go outside alone! Get Simba mcro chipped pangie xx you made my day.)))

That is undeniably true, Linda! If you stopped poetry, I would still love you and haunt you with my zany emails. LOL. (So many men! So little time!) Pangie I didn’t enter the eggs joke blog….because I really don’t know any! Happy Easter! I guess the yokes on me! Roflmao)))

It was written before the sunshine of your poems were even here. And you didn’t read the first anthology but it’s in there.. What I appreciate about you, Linda is that you don’t read me just because I read you. And you read other people , there is spacein our relationship, fun and humor! But whmatters to me about you is that we are friends that we email it again chance to be silly. And you’re so accepting of me and thank you for that.. I guess that’s caled love, one another as they are. No need to read me daaily!..enough to read me every day nor do I read you and that is a blessing. I know you love me more than my poetry. Good grief Gershon, I thouught I replied yesterday? Oh wee, my error!. I must say that I do agree with you.. when I read it the second time, it sounded better than the first time. I’ll always remember when the poem was read for me, and I cried.. I couldn’t figure out why I can’t.still cannot. Well, just some things in life we have to accept the beautiful and stop wondering ,why! )) Pangie xx

I hope you got my soup mail last night., you’ve been around here a long time and you appreciate Tom as a personal friend, I can tell)))). Its better to acnowledge someone of character that impressed us, rather tha looking for comments for our personal self aggrandizement. Sometimes we pen greart poems and womder why there arent resomses. Well, we came here to write poetry and to grow..you are oneof the best! People with hard are responding to the tribute. Found the very most part of our family here in as you know! I trust him fully in his responses, and I know that he has my back. He is under afraid to compimentpeople! For me, he makes a tremendous role model. I never see him in the mirror, admiring himself as a poet.. he admires other people. We are so lucky to have Tom.. Karen Hill and I’m glad you came today to salute them. I am glad it wasn’t the first I thought that was good because Pam deserved that. I didn’t care that much that I was in the anthology but I’m glad that poem was,. That was not want to go around, blowing his own horn! He simply writes well and serves other people. I think that’s an example for all of us.. humility, and greatness together…pangie xx

Everything you said about time is quite true and more so. He also was very human with people that he knows well, and goes out of his way. A good lesson for all of us I think.. instead of chasing to be number one he didn’t do that. Make sure other people number one not himself.. I’ve been stand quality, Sara, dont you.? Arrogance is not a good quality in the pool. Time is not arrogant, he’s not here to be number one winner prizes. He just writes excellenty . I am glad you saw this family deserves a crown really. He would never harm another problem here. Pangie xx

Hey, Bob…thank you for taking the time to read the acrostic! I want people to know Tom not me. I think many people here know him, but there are a lot of people who don’t and they shouldread his poetry as well as yours. As you know, I write from the bottom of my heart, not the top of my head.. Thank you. He has been a friend and suppirt since day one, to many of you, and to myself and family included.! This was also the very first poem of mine ….I ever heard read to me by a poet when I was in hospital 3 years ago. I suggest all poets read their poetry aloud or someone else’s poetry, too. It adds a new dimension! Tom exceeds these simple words. He is Graandissimo, not me!))) Pangie xx
