Rhyme, ( Conversation With My Muse)

Note- This comes from words given me, back when both my muse and I were young. Now these many decades later my muse is not so kind and gentle with me- seems SHE thinks that I am a stubborn old cuss.
Sometimes I think SHE just may be onto something...
Yet I am loathe to ever tell her so...

Together We May Till New Virgin Ground Each night my muse asks me, what have you done. Have you inked pages for joy or just for fun, I command you do so before you sleep Give Love, Joy or Sorrow but make it deep! As Heart and Soul opens, give equal measures Compare life's miseries to its treasures, Describe moon's brilliance and its sweetest shine As gifts that enter other's hearts and thine! Impress this world and in its destined Fate Birth true words and scenes readers can relate, Ask me for answers that elude your mind Give honor and respect, receive in kind! Together we may till new virgin ground Enjoy play of harps and angelic sounds, Stroll romance's gardens, adore its flowers Increase pleasures and our writing powers! If in this trek your Heart strays to the dark Do so with intense flames, not a mere spark, Write Soul's worries and its dearest of dreams For giving of Heart and Soul so redeems! Robert J. This is such a great poem, Robert. Perhaps I should consider getting a few nudges from my muse. But the only thing she is good at writing is our grocery list, at least I'll eat good..lol Love this gem, so much talent in that pen of yours. Blessings Charlie

Thank you my good friend. My wife is an excellent cook, so my muse never enters the kitchen. Instead she enters our bedroom to wake me in the middle of the night demanding that I get up and write. Good thing she is invisible or else my wife would start asking questions..

Indeed! What a muse! You two make quite an impressive, artistic and inspired team, my dear friend Robert. I'm so glad that your muse, not so gently, nudges you to waltz in poetry with her, creating rhythmic verses of imaginative splendor and impassioned emotions that stir my heart and soul.. A superb gem of precious beauty my wonderful friend.. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Susan my dear friend, you never fail to inspire with your insightful and kind comments. I give my muse her just credit but her whip stings viciously and her laughter grinds on me a bit, to say the least. The pies we back are from the crust she gives and the sweet filling that I supply- tho' SHE CLAIMS THE REVERSE IS TRUE. lol

My good friend, we oft til up the soil just to see the worms squiggle a bit. Then we write our dark poetry.. My muse sometimes reminds me that She loves to boss me around. After over 45 years and still counting - I need no such reminder!

"Make it deep", "impress", "birth true words and scenes", "give honour and respect", "do so with intense flames"! These are the most glowing pearls of beauty and insight, of a whole set of gems, touching the very core of creative writing! Your poetry Robert transcends the first layers of words to dive deep into oceans of meanings. It is impressive in its uniqueness and innovation a growing satisfaction to fervent readers. Your poetic wording precious pearls that ignite and never fade..

Lawrence my good friend, truth is She has worked me overtime for over 45 years now. Yet seems to me that she herself never tires. Ive oft been tempted to poison her just to slow her down a bit.
