Together As One
Once, we trailed a lush forest
Of sweet desire and fiery embraces -
Where the daffodils strayed everywhere
And the butterflies were circling -
Right under a golden maple tree.
The light carried us, high up a Sydney moon
Casting it's beams where we
Throttled off as a pair so free -
One by one, the petals bathed us
With a dewy scent of affection,
Until the pile of leaves caught
The laughter huffing through the wind-
As you fell on a mantle of reeds.
I remember that was a decade ago
When all the flowers bowed,
As You and I enveloped as one
In love's sweet promise of forever!
