Today We Can Be Happy

no need to fret
about things that
may never happen
today is what we’re given
today we can be happy
no need to worry
what tomorrow may bring
this moment is what we’re given
reach high and touch the sky
be thankful for today
it’s all we really have
who knows about tomorrow
be thankful for today
today we can be happy
