Today

I thought to write you
a song today; my mind
still apt -- though my fingers
a bit too creaky...had the piano
tuned, but it did not make me
a Chopin. Decided then on
a heartfelt love poem -- went
into my Shakespeare persona...
then tried Elisabeth and Emily --
Dr. Seuss did not seem to carry
the same sentiment --
What the heck!~ a sincere hug
and kiss has worked for half
a century -- you always know
my intentions.

I understand that you are in a very happy mood prone to love and romance. Do you want to write a love sonnet as Shakespeare wrote for her 'Black lady'? Besides a hug and a kiss, a poem too will do the magic! Enjoyed reading your poem. Have been quite busy. Sorry for the late response.

Hi Valsa; late response is OK; better that I know you are well and thriving when not here. Life needs to be full if to write full, beautiful poetry...as you do. Thank you, my friend.
