Notes About The Poem

Today

Embrace the miracle of Today's birth;
     the beginning of everything.
     
     Incapable of re-living
     or pre-living its ownership,     
     our character bares definition
     by the gratitude displayed
     for every moment in its presence.

     It is renewal,
     joyful in its divinity.

     May we be strong enough to engage it,
     generous enough to share it
     and wise enough not to waste its invitations...
