This does not reflect views from my work place. In Australia and New Zealand we are approaching ANZAC day, a national day commemorating the hurt, death, suffering and sadness of soldiers and families who've been involved in war. This peom shares my thoughts about war and how nobody wins... nobody.

What have we learnt from battles gone by? What have we learnt about war? What are the things we hold to our heart? What do we really stand for? Have we learnt to live free of anger and hate, To not swear, insult or to steal? Have we learnt to contribute to society’s peace, Understanding how other folks feel? Have we even got what they said war would give, Do you think you have a free voice? Do you think you hold happy tight in your hand, Do you really think you have any choice? No, the one thing war gave us is written on faces, In cities that are lucky to survive, And that is the sad, irreparable hurt, Ripped emotions of the folks left alive.
