To Say Good-Bye

The cars gathered at the neighbors house now, was not long ago, the sight seem the same. To say “good-bye” to a young cousin somehow, forever through time, the heart broken will remain. The roads they traveled, took them to dead ends, we should never have to bury our youth. Cul-de-sac of life, on this they cannot win, withdrawn from family, they become so recluse. Fallen so fast into the dungeon of life, Innocence taken and forever gone. They just took a wrong turn, did not know strife, could come back to love ones, even when wrong. The family will be forever changed, memories and plans will be rearranged

Hi hun, Such a heartfelt write. It's the hardest thing in the world when we lose someone we love. As you say it forever changes things. I'm so happy you are writing for this really helps bring into focas the things we can change and those we can't and help us endure with love. I'm sending good thoughts to you and your family at this difficult time and a siber hug. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Take care hun, Love Light Truth Patty

What a heartbreaking poem. It sounds like it is based on a true family and their loss. Each year, when I read of another lost child in the paper, my heart cries for the family and the heartbreak...as your poem said...forever changed, and plans forever rearranged. ~ Carrie
