To Run For the Tide

I feel I must always Run for the tide Always trying to catch up Holding on deep inside Life’s slipping away though I’m running faster Always feeling I’m Fleeing from certain disaster I run for the tide So I’m not left alone To be able to keep The sweet life that I’ve known Seems that peace is elusive And there’s no time to rest That it’s not good enough Though I’m doing by best I run for the tide Can’t give up while I’m able Can’t stop wanting to eat While there’s life on the table
