To Remember
to remember the leaves falling
on the still bright green grass
and invisible birds calling
to remember all the trees bare
stark against a gray sky
and you know ice and snow is ne'er
to remember flowers that grew
in a beloved garden
and the warm summer's azure blue
to remember the joy of Spring
and sweetness of re-birth
that makes heart and soul want to sing
